Investments often involve contracts with the host government. Our firm intervenes during all the procedures in the area of public procurement notably when it comes to negotiating, draft and monitoring contracts with the State as a party.
We assist private and public entities during submission for a tender, execution of works, supply of goods, and services. We have also extensive experience in preventing and resolving investment disputes arising out of bilateral and multilateral investment treaties.
Our expertise has allowed us to participate in the government of Senegal (GoS) sponsored PPP Financing Forum as the trainer on legal aspects of the public-private partnership. Our lawyers have been appointed for a three-year term as a member of the Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) of the World Bank-based Public Privates Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF).
We also participated in some review and assessment relating to some major projects such as:
– Dakar Toll Road and Senegal Water Authority Projects funded by PPIAF’s
– PPIAF funding project relating to the private sector participation in the management of public transportation services in the city of Conakry (Republic of Guinea);
– Project relating to Dakar City’s capacity to seek private funding on the capital market.
