Daniel Lamarche is a business lawyer, and member of the Quebec Bar with more than ten years
of experience, including four years in West Africa. He holds a LLB in law (University of Montréal),
a Master in Business Administration (MBA) (University of Laval, Québec) and a certificate in
Techniques and Strategies for Drafting and Negotiating Oil and Mining Contracts delivered by
OHADA's Ecole régionale supérieure de la magistrature (ERSUMA).
His areas of expertise include among others:

Daniel advises a variety of clients including private companies, publicly traded multinationals
and investment funds both locally and internationally. Here are some of his achievements:
Assisted a Swiss oil company focused on the exploration, production and marketing of
hydrocarbons in the negotiations for the renewal of an exclusive exploration
authorization with the Ivorian government ;
Advised, accompanied and facilitated the scaling up of an Ivorian start-up in the
agricultural sector, recipient of the Patronat Excellence Award, the Tony Elumelu and
the African Development Bank Award ;
Providing technical assistance, funded by the U.S. Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire, to two
cohorts of 15 emerging entrepreneurs to help them meet the challenges of entering the
Ivorian market ;
Supporting the ImpactHub Abidjan in building the capacity of two cohorts of emerging
entrepreneurs funded by GIZ (German Cooperation) in the area of tax and legal issues of
a start-up.
